The Beautiful Reader (detail) - Léon-François Comerre
Let me preface this by saying that I have moved every year for the last couple of years. What the heck, your 20 ’ s are supposed to be transitory, right?
The manfriend and I have been together for a few years, and we’ve decided to give the whole living together thing a shot. (Eep!) We’ll be moving in a couple of weeks, so I’m going through my house and getting rid of all the extraneous stuff (Selling books and old furniture, donating clothes, etc.)
This is probably my favorite part about moving so often. Clutter stresses me out, but I have a bad habit of accumulating things over time. Moving encourages me to pare things down every so often. Getting rid of things is almost cathartic.
It’s hard to believe that when I first moved up here I had 2 bins of stuff and a bag of clothes. I almost miss those days sometimes.
It sure made moving a lot easier.
Ah well. Wish me luck! :)
